Bichon Frise

Originally favored and housed by French royalty, the Bichon Frise became AKC recognized in 1971 and is closely related to the Maltese, Havanese, and Coton de Tulear. The Bichon has a soft and dense double-coat, always white. Our Bichons are generally going to weigh around 12-18lbs and stand at a shoulder height of 9-12 inches. Known as a therapy dog for their affectionate and gentle demeanor, the Bichon also seems to be always happy and loves to play. Daily exercise is required. Generally highly trainable and intelligent; also because they are hypoallergenic and friendly to people and pets: Bichons are well suited for apartment life.
