Malti Poo

The malti-poo is a cross between a maltese and toy poodle. The malti-poo cross is made to create a distinct appearance, rather than to provide the poodle’s hypoallergenic coat, as the maltese itself sheds very little. Training a malti-poo will likely be much easier than training a purebred maltese, with encouragement being the most successful approach in training. Most of our poodles, maltese and malti-poos will weigh from 6 – 10 pounds as an adult. Malti-poos love children, but should be supervised around young children to ensure they are treated respectfully. A larger puppy that can handle rougher play may be a better choice for a family with younger children. We would suggest a teddy bear, schnoodle, or bichpoo.
